28 Days Later (****) 28 Weeks Later (***)
Both of these movies treat zombie as infected people. The disease is called “Rage” and it is pretty nasty. Since they are not really undead, they are also not exactly zombies either. But still – 28 Days Later was really ground breaking with it’s wide open London devoid of people. This was freakish all by itself. The infected were pretty nasty as movie monsters too. The ending of the original was a little bit weak, but overall worth buying on DVD. 28 Weeks was a weaker addition. It starts off great, but it gets a little mushy with the family angle as well as the weak plot line about someone who is resistant to Rage. Also, I can’t imagine anyone ever wanting to go back to England who had survived the Rage epidemic – EVER! Silly really.
